The IVIS vision system was born a few years ago from the needs emerging from various automation integrators.
Artificial vision is a fairly complex field and in some projects it isn't possible to know before of some tests, the characteristics that the vision system need to have.
It could happen we start from a vision sensor and then change it with a more complex system, perhaps with multiple cameras.
Sometimes not being able to change the chosen system leads to compromise with respect to the initial needs.
Switching from a vision sensor to a vision system often means changing everything, the hardware, its interfacing, redoing the programming and the wiring, in short, a huge extra cost.
But even just knowing different models of systems, with different programming methods, is in itself an extra cost that one would like to avoid.
The solution to these and other problems, has led VEA to build a single system that could cover the range of products, from the vision sensor to the most complex vision systems.
This is how IVIS was born, a single scalable and expandable system, with only one powerful configuration tool, all starting from the price of a vision sensor.
IVIS consists of a base unit of only 12 x 12 x 4 cm to which any type of camera can be connected, from small models like an M12 sensor, up to 12 Mpixel cameras, for a maximum of 32 cameras.
The innovations are so many: the system integrates an HMI operator panel and a 1 mSec scanning PLC suitably designed for artificial vision, to which up to 64 8 I / O modules are connected, for a total of 512 inputs and 512 outputs.
The internal PLC and HMI even make it possible to operate small systems without using other external devices, with considerable savings in components and wiring.
Even if the price range is that of a smart camera, IVIS is a real vision system for which programming and iteration with the operator is by a normal PC monitor. Programming via a portable PC is still possible.
IVIS is equipped ofwireless keyboard and mouse, wifi and TCP-IP port.
scalar architecture allows to realize from the simplest things up to the most complex vision systems, using the same programming language.
The high speed of 500 acquisitions per second allows continuous checks without photocells, making it perfect for selection systems.

 
         
  QUALITY CHECK
   
IVIS systems allow different quality controls to be performed simultaneously, such as correct assembly of components, the presence of fillets, the readability of a mark, etc.
 
         
  DATAMATRIX
   

IVIS can read the code printed on the product to be checked and record images and information with the identification code. These machine can integrate an objective laser marker with a control code carried out.

ACCULUM™ (ACCUracy ilLUMination) is an integrated lighting and vision system that allows you to perform very high measurement accuracy. Taking more high-speed images with illumination from different angles makes it possible to achieve accuracy of less than 0.5 µm.
