AUTOMATIC MACHINE FOR NEEDLES CONTROL

Problem:

To make a qualitative and dimensional control with centesimal precision of needles. This needles are mounted on rings. The system control more then 20000 points/h with an autonomy of operation of 12 h.

The system control if all neddles are mounted on the ring, if it was mounted a different type of neddle, if the dimension of neddle are correct, if it is damaged on point, if it have lacks or if it is crooked.

Solution:

To make this control it was realized a plant on measure where each ring is storage in pull bar. The system control each ring and then put it in its bar corresponding at type of discard or in a bar of production. Each ring is rotated under optic groups of cameras that control point per point in real time (50 frames per second). It was be made a lot of attention to the compactness of plant and at the simplicity of use and of maintenance.

Technology of vision VEA:

For this type of application is used the vision system HQV-MEASURE dedicated to the dimensional and qualitative control at high precision.

Thanks to XVR technology the resolution of the vision system is in order of micron and this allow to obtain errors in the inferior measure to the cent.

The system have adjusted logic to make qualitative control on neddle. With this type of logics it is possible to take notice of little blows or lacks that with a normal dimensional system of control can be passed such as good.

Thanks to presence of two cameras and a particular optic system, the system can control the neddle on three different anglings.

To automatically adapt the different type of rings it was implemented the Sync module that allows to determine if a deriving digital signal from an input or from an output it is in phase according to a sequence of times defined. It is possible to define the sequence of times in manual or automatic way through a procedure of auto-learning.

Illumination:

VEA realizes illuminating solutions on demand, for this application VEA has used led illuminator to back-lighter the needles.
